Prima Lux Films announce exclusive alliance with La Rosa Productions on thriller - RAGE

Hot off the press comes the latest exciting announcement from Prima Lux Films, which sees them exclusively partner with La Rosa Productions to help bring their latest thriller feature film RAGE to screens across the world.

Prima Lux Films is a multi-award-winning production company from Melbourne, founded by director John Balazs and producer Marlene Ghmed. John's previous films, Dancer and Night Shift have won more than 30 awards at various film festivals across the world. John recently returned from Las Vegas where he attended the world renowned Action On Film Megafest Film Festival after receiving no less than 5 nominations for his most recent film Night Shift, and walking away with 5 victories!

John's new film Rage, in co-production with La Rosa Productions, has recently completed principle photography and is currently in post-production. Of the new announcement, John said:

We are very fortunate to have met Adam La Rosa from La Rosa productions. We feel that we are in very capable hands with a person who not only understands the value of a great story but also understands and is able to assist in the business and financial aspect to film making. We feel fortunate because he not only has a great deal of experience on film sets and behind-the-scenes, but also does his due-diligence in acquiring projects that he feels have a significant impact on the marketplace both creatively and financially.

A brief synopsis of RAGE: After a violent home invasion leaves him in a coma and his wife deeply traumatised, a mild-mannered husband awakens to find out that one of the attackers is still on the loose. As they try to move on with their lives, one day his nearly-despondent wife spots the attacker, opening up a twisted tale of brutal revenge where all isn't as it seems.

Directors Statement:

RAGE aims to explore the aftermath of trauma, the expectations of modern marriage, revenge and infidelity.

We are very excited to work with some of the most dedicated and talented people in the indie film industry. We are looking forward to deliver an engaging and hard hitting raw and gritty look at the dark side of marriage that deals with themes of sexual assault, infidelity, murder and revenge. We feel that our vision and voice will be a welcome addition to the Australian film industry as we strive to pave the way for a mix of artistic and commercially viable products to hit both the home-grown and international marketplace.

Our end goal and mission is to create a polished and commercial standard, nail biting 2 hour thriller that focuses on rich characters wrapped in a dynamic and engaging story. We want to bring back the the simplistic and narrative driven films of the 50's and 60's thrillers through modern filmmaking techniques. With an over saturation of big CGI films, this is a refreshing and stripped back approach where story and character is the drawcard to obtain eyeballs, whether on SVOD or limited cinema run.
